Hi, I’m Alex Zarubin, one of the founding cat-fathers of Software Cats. In 2019, my friends and I decided to found our own company—a team of qualified engineers who share beliefs and values and are not afraid to take on any task regardless of its difficulty.
I’m very happy that the team, which previously existed only in my head, is now becoming a reality. We already have more than 20 people working in three areas—DevOps, development, and QA. If you value a great team as much as I do, we should get acquainted.

Each of our Team Leads was once a Developer, Project or Product Manager in outsourcing and product companies. We understand the difficulties and challenges that our employees face every day, so we try to make our processes comfortable. We understand that it’s impossible to know everything, that’s why we value not only the personal experience of every employee but also their ability to learn, think, and take the initiative. Communication is the key, and if a Team Lead doesn't have personal experience in a particular technology, they can always rely on the team's knowledge. Every employee has a mentor who helps them adapt to a project faster and conducts regular meetings to discuss successes and failures.

We work on actual business cases of our customers, so we are always in contact with the customer's team and get immediate feedback. Engineers work directly with the technical team. We respond flexibly to the team's feedback. In case of any problems or barriers in work, we are always ready to listen, understand, and evolve. Every Friday we discuss news and events of the week in all our areas, including sales, management, and other supporting processes. We have "strategic dialogs" with the team quarterly to set long-term goals and discuss our future as a team.

We have an office in Akademgorodok (Novosibirsk), but every employee is free to choose the most convenient work format—from the office or from home. We trust our team, so we have no prejudice towards remote work.

- 1.5+ years of commercial Java development experience;
- Experience with Spring and Spring Boot;
- Experience with PostgreSQL and/or Clickhouse;
- Experience designing and developing Rest APIs;
- Ability to write Unit tests;
- Experience with Git and Maven;
- Experience creating and building applications with a microservice architecture.

What you will need to do:
- Conduct functional, regression, integration testing of web and mobile applications;
- Test frontend, backend, API;
- Develop test documentation;
- Maintain defects and tasks in the task tracker;
- Interact with external and internal development teams, QA, designers, managers.
What we expect from candidates:
- 1.5+ years of experience testing web and mobile apps in commercial projects;
- Knowledge and practical use of testing approaches and methodologies;
- Experience in test documentation development, specification analysis;
- Experience in API testing, ability to interpret API response;
- Knowledge of SQL basics, databases, DBMS skills;
- Knowledge and practical use of tester tools: DevTools, Postman, SoapUI, Charles/Fiddler, etc;
- Good communication skills, ability to switch between tasks, ability to organize your work;
- Willingness to quickly learn new technologies and gain missing knowledge.
Pros will be:
- Experience in test automation;
- Understanding of mobile technologies (OS, shell, etc.) and experience in mobile testing (iOS, Android);
- English (B1/B2).
